Minimum Requirements



A Master’s degree in Statistics or Applied Statistics
At least 2 years’ relevant working experience of which 1 year must be teaching experience in Statistics at the Higher Education level


Recommendations:

The ability to teach at least two of the following courses: Econometrics, Financial Markets, Statistical Quality Control
Experience in teaching underprepared students
Doctoral Degree

Teach Statistics up to the 4th year level
Teach underprepared students
Participate in curriculum development activities
Perform student assessments
Participate in departmental research activities
Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the department
Develop innovative Teaching and Learning Methods and Materials
Monitor and assess experiential learning
Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies
Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
Perform the necessary academic and administrative functions as required within the Department
