Responsibilities/Output:

• Ensure proper planning and documentation of fieldwork

• Ensure assignment budgets are controlled

• Prepare/review draft reports

• Identify weaknesses in procedures, systems and internal controls

• Supervise and coach staff members

• Monitor costs against budget

• Liaise directly with clients

• Utilisation and development of staff

• Ensure compliance to firm's risk management policies

• Deliver value added services to clients

• Staff planning and management

• Build and maintain relationships with clients

• Develop relationships with key targets



Business development

Play a key role in the sourcing of new business / clients. Responsible for internal risk management activities and proposal creation in response to client needs.



Staff management:

Manage and motivate Internal Audit teams;

Provide on the job training/mentoring of junior staff;

Take ownership for team and its results; ensuring that members of the team receive recognition for efforts and successes;

Delegate effectively in order to leverage the available capability and manage costs;

Create an environment that encourages improvement and innovation; challenges traditional approaches;

Act as a role model and takes responsibility for own and team members work-life quality with regard to holidays and personal commitments;

Provide team with a clear sense of direction;

Motivate commitment and a desire to succeed amongst team members;

Remain accessible to all staff;

Set a tone of professionalism and integrity with client and team; and Establish clear priorities, schedules activities and monitors performance against objectives.



General:

Keep abreast of relevant developments and changes in area of expertise.

Requirements
Qualification Level: CIA - this course covers risk, control and governance aspects
Additional Qualification Level: Internal Audit Degree/ Diploma
Experience Required: 5 - 10 years
